Community Relations

W3i believes in giving back and being involved in the community. W3i has been involved with different community based initiatives over the years including painting at the YMCA, Sauk River clean up, providing Saint Cloud State Scholarships, and most recently painting city drains to deter dumping. Read below for highlights of recent activities.

St. Cloud State Husky Athletics

St. Cloud State Husky Athletics hosted their 2009 Famous Dave's Husky Sportacular golf outing June 8 at the St. Cloud Country Club in St. Cloud, Minn. The best-ball tournament funds the growth and success of all athletic teams at St. Cloud State University.

W3i Penny Wars

The W3i Penny Wars took place from March 18 to May 29, 2009, in an effort to raise money for a local charity. Each team was asked to choose a charity and a team name. The team with the highest amount of pennies (minus the silver) won the competition – with the total amount of money collected (pennies, silver and dollar bills from all teams) going to the winning charity.

Congrats to our winning team, “W3i’s Pro Ultimate Ninja Warrior Penny Assault Brigade.” Along with a company match, $2,214 was donated to “Motorcycle Ride for the Mind,” which is a charity benefiting Alzheimer’s disease research. The 5th Annual “Ride for the Mind” took place June 20, 2009 in Central MN.
