Hurricane Katrina Relief

In late 2005, the country witnessed the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Katrina. The W3i team wanted to help.

W3i organized a fundraiser that generated donations from employee contributions. For its part, W3i matched the employee contributions 100% and the proceeds went to the American Red Cross. These efforts brought out the best in us, the fellow feeling of humanity and generosity, and the giving nature of our team. The W3i team raised about $5000 after the company match, which was donated to the American Red Cross.

Minnesota Collegiate Entrepreneur Awards Great Lakes Regional Collegiate Entrepreneur Awards

In 2000, W3i won the Minnesota Collegiate Entrepreneur Award and the Great Lakes Collegiate Entrepreneur Award. Today W3i gives back to the community by helping other young entrepreneurs through their sponsorship of the Entrepreneur Award Series, administered by the Anderson Entrepreneurial Center in Saint Cloud, MN.

Nate Armstrong, a Saint John's University graduate and founder of Premium Painting, was awarded the 2005 Great Lakes Regional Collegiate Entrepreneur™ Award, sponsored by W3i.
